About the LHS PTO.

Our mission is to enhance the education and welfare of LHS students and foster communication throughout the LHS community. Each year the LHS PTO adopts Guiding Principles that address the organization’s mission amidst current societal challenges.

Membership in the PTO brings a wide variety of benefits for students, parents and the entire Lexington High School Community.

    • Provide a welcoming environment through a wide variety of hospitality events throughout the school year.

    • Inform stakeholders through an emailed Weekly Announcement, open Board Meetings and other events that contain a wealth of information about school and community activities, important dates and other news.

    • Contribute to the excellent education our students enjoy by awarding mini-grants and other financial resources to LHS educators to enrich their best practices.

    • Enrich the LHS learning community by sponsoring high quality forums on a variety of timely and robust topics.

    • Your donation funds staff mini-grants, curriculum enrichment and special projects.

    • Your volunteer time contributes to staff appreciation and staff and student celebrations.

    • Your contributions support class activities and events and scholarships.

    • funds the class donation to the class council for every grade

    • makes newcomers to LHS feel welcome and informed by organizing various gatherings

    • conducts multiple discussion forums on a larger variety of topics to help inform and educate the LHS community

    • sends weekly email announcements with important school and community information

  • 1. ENRICH THE SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

    • and promotes support for the students by organizing receptions for the Prom, Book Awards, Sophomore events, Senior Scholarship Night, etc.
